Having written Christian Hymnody since 1987, I’ve decided to create a dynamic anthology of the hymns that I have penned. As new texts or melodies are given birth, they will be added.

Generally, any hymn that is on this site can be used for the purpose of Christian Worship. I do ask that you contact me so that I can track their usage and provide you with the appropriate copyright permissions.

Many hymns have been set to the melodies of pre-existent hymns; others have original melodies and settings.

I am Lutheran; the hymns are intended to reflect the Biblical doctrine of the Lutheran Confessions. Every attempt is made to ensure doctrinal conformity with these Confessions.

I believe that some of the modern trends that “dumb down” music in the context of Christian Worship are harmful- a steady diet of praise songs tends to lead to shallow Christianity.  Praise songs, while they have their place (?), do nothing to preserve the teaching of the Church, the interpretation of Biblical texts, the comfort to the soul.  I’ve dedicated my entire ministry to being a Liturgical pastor and utilizing only the hymnody of the Church, both ancient and modern in formal worship.

New hymns are being written every day by poets of the Church.  I pray that my offering is worthy.

So, now that you know a little about me, on to the hymns!
